All the things you need to know

Getting here

We are 90 minutes from Seattle, and a 5 minute ferry from Anacortes. Plug “Guemes Island Ferry Terminal” into your maps apps, and that will get you to the ferry. The ferry does require some special attention to detail, and subject to last minute change :) Best advice - be flexible! Bring a beer or two and enjoy the beach by the ferry while you wait.

  • Ferry takes a break for lunch from 11:15-1:00pm and again in the evening at 6:45pm for dinner

  • Friday summer evening ferries always have a long line. Expect to wait 2-3 times.

  • Tip for going home: we usually go park in the ferry line at noon, then eat at the General Store while waiting for the 1pm ferry

  • If someone is already on the island and line is long, park in the ferry parking on walk on.

Parking

Feel free to park in the driveway or garage! The garage door opener can be finicky, and the one by the barn in manual. Try to keep on the gravel if you can.

Hot tub

Bring your suit! Hot tub should be set up, but with any trouble the manual can be found here. Hot tub will be set to a lower temperature, so when you arrive turn it up to the desired temp. It will take a few hours to heat from 95 to whatever temp you like.

  • If the water is cloudy, use the chemicals to shock it.

  • Skimmer is by the wall. Please skim before you leave.

  • If you have issues that cannot be resolved by the manual, please let Joe, JT or Allison know ASAP
